My beef with cardio

Well maybe I should say traditional cardio. Cardio is extremely beneficial to weight loss and overall health, but traditional cardio is so boring it makes me dread it every time.

I hate getting on a piece of equipment and exert energy without going anywhere. For me it's like being a hamster in a wheel; just so damn frustrating. I know in order to reach my health goals I need to stick with the basics - cardio and weight training but like I said above, cardio irks my nerves!!!

My plan is to get in at least 30 minutes of cardio 4 days a week. How am I going to do this since stepping on a treadmill is out o the freaking question? I plan on tapping into my DVD collection for some inspiration. for some reason my mind (with the attention span of a flea) can justify doing a DVD where I at least travel my happy butt across the floor lol!!!

So here is my rotation, don't judge me...

Cathe MMA boxing

Just dance 3

Turbo fire HIIT DVDs

Well that's it in a nutshell!!!

  1. Maybe try Zumba? I totally understand what you mean, staying still but moving on a piece of cardio equipment can be boring sometimes. You would probably fare better in a bootcamp class where you are running all over the place all the time. Zumba is good too because you spend a lot of time dancing and moving and shaking :)
