Week 1 Review (5/20-5/26)

Hey everyone!!!!  This is the official one week late review of my first week taking this fitness thing seriously!  I've decided to focus on lifting weights and cardio - nothing fancy, just plain old fashion moves that work.

Overall, my first week was okay - nothing amazing since I'm just getting in the swing of things. On top of all that It was my birfday!  Hayyyyyy - sexy 30 in full effect. So that gave me the pass to indulge and do me for a second.  I haven't decided my posting format, so I'll just wing it today.

Monday: Chest and Triceps - this was cool, my upper body strength is much better than my lower body, so this was difficult but not impossible. I also did a 15 minute HIIT workout as well.
Tuesday: Back and Biceps - This was boring as hell!!!  I hate working on my biceps! This is my worst workout ever! I love working on my back, but biceps not so much.
Wednesday: Leg - I was soooo scurred for this workout because my legs are weak. But it was actually okay. Need to research how I can incorporate more glute exercises!
Thursday: shoulders - missed...oops!
Friday: Rest
Saturday: Rest
Sunday: Rest

I had too many rest days and one skip day, also my food was not on point. But hey, I made a vow to post the good and the bad.

Next up...Week number two, lol - wait to you see this mess!!!

Sube-thon success!!

This past Saturday my friend Keta and I completed a 3-hour sube-thon! First of all let me tell you what...it was so much fun to be out there dancing and having a good time with my girl!! We had a ball. Sube is the name of the company and it's a lot like zumba but with more hip hop moves and music. We were outside, great gawd it was hot, but we stayed hydrated and rested every hour or so. Here ia a picture of us at hour 2...

Sweaty and half way tired lol! By the end of the 3 hours I felt so motivated and liberated almost like I could do anything! Even run in a race or something....hmm...

There is nothing like kicking of your fitness goals than a burn like this...

So all-in-all I give this experience two thumbs up! One for being so much fun and the other for being a goal accomplished!

(please excuse the evil look on my face, I was trying not to pass out while taking this picture!)

Three Hours of....

Pain Fun!!! Our Zumba group is doing a 3 hour Zumba-Thon and yours truly is participating! I'm nervous but ready to dance some calories away!!!!  My initial thought was, girl are you crazy?!?!?! But now, I'm really excited and ready to go out there and try this out.

This will be a major thing for me because I'm a tad bit lazy when it comes to fitness so this will challenge me in ways I never imagined! This is only the beginning and I'm ready to get it started!!!

Quick and Dirty

Let's just get to the point...

Goal: To survive, thrive, change, and grow
Method: Weight training and cardio; plain and simple

I will update you all on a weekly basis - My first challenge is a 12 week challenge to get me in the gym and lifting some weights.  But first, I have challenge to complete before I get down to business!
